CUI Young Researchers Workshop 2016
"From few- to many-body physics in cold atomic quantum matter"
June 27 - 29, 2016
Center for Optical Quantum Technologies,
University of Hamburg
The workshop will be held from June 27th to 29th, 2016, at the Center for Quantum Optical Technologies of the University of Hamburg in Germany.
It aims at bringing together early career investigators (PhDs and early postdocs) to share their recent scientific findings and thereby provide an inspiring frame for bridging the gaps from few- to many-body quantum systems. The topics will range from the deep quantum many-body regime (e.g. superfluidity in Bose-Einstein condensates) via intermediate regimes as impurity systems to pure few-body quantum systems (e.g. long-range Rydberg molecules). Much space for discussions and an open atmosphere should enable the participants to have a strong exchange of ideas in order to interlink their works and methods.
This workshop is generously funded by the cluster of excellence The Hamburg Centre for Ultrafast Imaging of the German Research Foundation
The workshop program is now online. (PDF)
The language of the workshop will be English. Please, note that the total number of participants is limited. The organizers invite PhD students, postdoctoral reserachers and senior researchers to apply.
The workshop will be held in the seminar room (ground floor) of the Center for Optical Quantum Technology. (directions)
