Workshop on Waves in discrete and continous systems: local symmetries, latent symmetries, and topology 2022

With only a small number of presentations each day, the workshop provides the opportunity for extensive, open, and creative discussions on the presented topics. These include various kinds of waves, such as acoustic, mechanical, electromagnetic, and matter-waves, but also graph-theoretical concepts, and non-linear systems. This diverse set of topics is held together by the common, overarching concepts of symmetry and topology. Bringing together international researchers from different fields, the goal of the three-day workshop at the Center of Optical Quantum Technologies at Hamburg University is to strengthen existing collaborations, foster new ones, and to discuss new research directions in an open-minded environment.
