Interlibrary loans

Department of Physics staff should contact the library for interlibrary loans. We will procure the media for you as quickly as possible. We simply need the standard information (title / source / citation information). Within the Hamburg lending system, we can also procure media from all Hamburg libraries (DESY, Hamburg University of Technology, Helmut Schmidt University). We also deliver journal articles and book excerpts from the Universität Hamburg inventory providing they are part of the campus delivery service system. As a cooperation partner of the campus delivery service, the physics library also delivers articles and book excerpts from its own inventory. Are you a library user searching for books, media, or newspaper articles that are not available in Hamburg?

Look in the GVK Union Catalogue. If you find the title you are searching for, you can submit the copy and/or loan request directly. You can purchase the required pink online interlibrary loan slip at the cashier’s desk of the State and University Library Carl von Ossietzky.

Delivery conditions and fees

Delivery period:
roughly 1–3 weeks

Basic fee (not for staff):
€1.50 per volume / copy under 20 pages

Requirements (not for staff):
library card for the State and University Library Carl von Ossietzky, purchase of online interlibrary loan slip from the State and University Library cashier’s desk
