Design and implementation of a state dependent optical lattice for Yb atoms

Quantum simulation of complex interacting many-body systems is one of the key research areas in quantum gas physics. In view of that, we plan to simulate a thus for not realized celebrated solid state physics model, the KOndo lattice model. Its implemntation requires a state-dependent optical lattice for Yb atoms that strongly localizes one particular atomic state and at the same time allows tunneling for a second atomic state. Your task will be the design and implementation of such a lattice at the already existing experimental setup.
