Feshbach Resonances between K and Rb

A current stabilization for the Helmholtz coils was finished which works quite well (1ppm!) s- and p-wave Feshbach resonances are measured and the interaction tuned continously. Strong repulsive interaction leads to phase separation, in the attractive case we can induce a collapse by strengthen the interaction. Phys.Rev.Lett. 97, 120403 (2006)

Formation of spontaneous density-wave patterns in DC driven lattices

In a collaboration with the theory group of Ludwig Mathey, we have observed and explained surprising density-wave patterns, which form in BECs in strongly tilted triangular optical lattices and sponteously break the discrete symmetry of the lattice.
