Open PhD position

We have a new opening for a PhD position in our experimental project "Interband pairing mechanisms in an optical lattice with fermionic potassium atoms" in the context of the Cluster of Excellence CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter. We are looking for a highly motivated young scientist with a master degree preferably in experimental AMO physics possibly with some experience in quantum optics, laser cooling, quantum gas physics or quantum many-body physics in general. Laboratory experience in laser technology and electronics is advantageous. We offer a leading part in a research team of postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, engaged in research, which combines the deep intellectual aspiration of quantum many-body physics with the highly relevant modern state-of-the-art technologies of photon science.
