Correlations and symmetries in Spin Systems
Ultrafast non-equilibrium dynamics in ferrimagnetic alloys and the interplay of ferromagnetism and topological states in respective hybrid systems are investigated when excited with THz, IR, or XUV light with the aim to control magnetization and topological states. We collaborate with projects B2 and B9 to study the topology-related aspects and with C1, C3, and C4 that study topological phases in quantum gases. Theoretical aspects are treated by projects B5 and B8. We collaborate with projects A1, A3, A4, B7, and B8 on FEL and THz based experiments.
