Research

We fabricate and apply hybrid nano-structures for integrated nano-bio devices as well as other hybrids, such as topological insulators combined with semiconducting materials or metals.

The Condensed Phase Dynamics Group studies transformations of matter in molecules, nanostructures, and in the solid state by employing a wide range of ultrafast state-of-the-art techniques.

We work at the interface between physics, chemistry & materials science. The goal of our lab is to develop a new synthesis concept aiming at improved sustainability, efficiency & environmental performance of nanomaterials.

The research focus of the AG Biophotonics are nano-and microsystems and their application to neighboring ones areas such as biology, medicine and electronics.

Research in my group is focussed on understanding how macromolecular structure leads to function.

The optics group uses various modern spectroscopic measurement methods. The samples can be pre-characterized for further measurements using ellipsometry.

Our research activities are concentrated on nanometer-scale science and technology based on scanning probe methods (SPM).

We investigate both the epitaxial growth and the electronic properties of functional semiconductor structures.

The research activities of the working group focusses on the production of reduced dimensions and their characterization in regard to structural, morphological, magnetic and electrical properties.
