Optics
Prof. Dr. Michael A. Rübhausen
The Optics research group led by Prof. Rübhausen uses a variety of modern spectroscopic methods. Ellipsometry enables the precharacterization of samples for further measurements. In addition to the unique UT3 Raman spectrometer, numerous modern laser systems are available, which are used for time-resolved fluorescence measurements, among other things. Moreover, measuring stations are available at PETRA III and FLASH.
Both liquid bioinorganic and biological samples, as well as solid states, can be measured in the various setups.
