„Merging Galaxy Clusters Seen through the X-ray Telescope eROSITA“ is the title of the best Master thesis in Physics at Hamburg University in the winter term 20/21. The thesis was submitted by Kathrin Boeckmann. In the group of Prof. Marcus Brueggen at Hamburg Observatory, she investigated how galaxy clusters can be explored by X-ray observations.
For her thesis, Kathrin Boeckmann was awarded the Otto-Stern-Preis. Every term, the department of Physics of Hamburg University honours excellent thesises in the department of Physics. The Otto-Stern-Preis awards the best master thesis.
