Neuer ERC-Grant: 2,5 Millionen Euro für Forschung zu Neutronensternen

Der Europäische Forschungsrat fördert Prof. Dr. Stephan Rosswog im Rahmen eines ERC Advanced Grants mit 2,5 Millionen Euro. Der theoretische Astrophysiker erforscht in den kommenden fünf Jahren kollidierende Neutronensterne.

Largest cosmic shock waves observed so far

An international team of astronomers led by the Hamburg Observatory made the most detailed images of the largest cosmic shock waves ever observed. The observations are based on data from the MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa and have been published in the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics.
