String Theory Group Arutyunov

The research pertains to integrable models, quantum field theory, string theory and gravitational physics. One of the long-standing goals is to obtain the exact solution of certain scale-invariant quantum gauge theories in four space-time dimensions by solving the corresponding string integrable models. The novel theoretical techniques emerging from this investigation will be further applied for studying string dynamics in less symmetric space-times, in order to obtain a stringy description of non-perturbative phenomena in a generic gauge theory exhibiting a confining phase.
