I am currently working on the micropillar project with Sadhana: designing of the microfluidic device with micropillars (30 µm) using AutoCAD, preparing the wafer with SU-8 and Mr dev-600 using the spin coater and mask aligner, and modifying the surface of a silicon-based polymer (ormo) with APTES and glutaraldehyde to bind trypsin.
A recent project I worked on involves the detection of tumor-miRNA using the 3D-printed box. It is based on Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) between the acceptor (Black Hole Quencher BHQ2) and the donor (Cyanine-3 Cy3), which allows the detection the signal with a mobile phone after the target miRNA hybridizes with a perfect-match target sequence.
