Dr. Sadhana Tiwari

Her research broadly focuses on developing efficient biodiagnostic systems for early detection of tumors. Currently, the projects she is working on are: 

• DNA-Methylation Project: Laser assisted optical profiling of DNA-methylation for cancer monitoring on nanofluidic devices by reading methylation pattern with methyl-specific protein domain. 
• On-chip Trypsin Digestion: Development of a microfluidic device with micropillars array for trypsin immobilization followed by deterministic lateral displacement-based separation of the digested tumor proteins. 
• Tumor specific miRNA detection using smartphone based 3-D printed fluorescence imaging setup.
