Tim Gitzinger

Tim Gitzinger is a master student at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg who joined the Protein Machinists Lab for his external master's thesis along with Prof. Pearson. He is a physicist by training, having done his bachelor's thesis with Prof. Tobias Lau at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and an Erasmus with a focus on Theoretical Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. At HARBOR he is now learning his way around the wet lab to study SARS-CoV-2 proteins in the field of structural biology. In his spare time, he enjoys playing racket sports and video games, political discussions, consumer electronics, meeting friends, and the Oxford comma.
