AG Nikolopoulos Group Retreat 2025

On 26th  November 2025, our research group held its annual group retreat at the Gängeviertel in Hamburg. The scientific programme began with a keynote talk. Afterwards, all members presented their most meaningful plot, summarising their work over the past year, and discussed the results together. We also explored the European Strategy for Particle Physics through short lightning talks.

In subsequent working sessions at themed tables, we discussed the group’s strategic direction in the broader scientific context. In addition, we collected focused ideas for outreach activities and for ways to better support underrepresented groups in (astro)particle physics.

In the afternoon, a social programme rounded off the retreat. Through a quiz and a variety of games, we had the chance to get to know each other even better as a diverse research team.
