My doctoral research work is focused on studies of the reconstruction of Lorentz-boosted hadronic decays at the LHC. As collaborator of the CMS experiment, I perform the world’s first data analysis of the production of single top quarks in the phase space of high Lorentz boosts, which is potentially sensitive to physics beyond the Standard Model. For that, I use modern techniques of machine learning. Furthermore, I am involved in studies of the Heavy Object Tagger with Variable R (HOTVR), a jet algorithm for the reconstruction of those decays and for the identification of the underlying massive particles.
