The detector lab is open again: after the home-office time due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have now returned to full operation in the laboratories. With new hygiene rules, plenty of distance between each other, and disinfectant dispensers everywhere, but we are back!

First testbeam of the year

Last week we had our first testbeam of the year. This time, we took data in area T24 of the DESY II test beam facility to test Low Gain Avalanch Diodes (LGADs) at different voltages and under different beam incidence angles.

Saiva Huck defended her thesis on "From the efficient trapping and accumulation of cooled antiprotons towards the formation of a pulsed beam of antihydrogen atoms".
