Supplementary Career Information
Theresa Staufer has expertise in the development of novel X-ray sources and their
applications, mainly X-ray Fluorescence Imaging (XFI). She has contributed to several
breakthroughs in the field such as the tracking of labelled immune cells in living mice or uptake
measurements of a co-enzyme into single skin cells. Her main focus now lies on the further
advancement on XFI towards 3D-reconstruction and higher sensitivities.
Activities as scientific reviewer
Reviewer for original manuscripts and review articles: SciRep, IJMS, ACSnano
Supervision of Researchers in Early Career Phases between 2020 and 2024
Co-Supervision of 9 PhD students
Co-Supervision of 15 master and bachelor students
