The identification of heavy particles through their decay products, especially the identification of Top-Quarks and the heavy gauge bosons ($W^\pm$, $Z^0$, Higgs) are very important at the LHC. The identification of full hadronically decaying particles at high energies poses a particular difficulty because all particles from the decay are reconstructed often within only one jet. Recently a new algorithm for Top-tagging called HOTVR was presented. This new algorithm is based on jets with a variable distance parameter. The advantage of this algorithm is the possibility to use it in different momentum ranges without additional momentum-dependent criteria for the suppression of background events. In this thesis studies for the extension of this algorithm with regard to the identification of hadronically $W^\pm$, $Z^0$ and Higgs bosons as well as the optimal parameters for the algorithm are presented.
